Protected Leather Care

Every picture tells a story of how the cow lived and under what conditions. Each hide directly reflects the effects of life on the range. If you look closely you can see; healed scars, scratches, variations in color, scrapes, varied grain wrinkles and even occasional bites from insects. All of these natural markings are a signature of genuine leather. These beauty marks highlight the difference between a natural product and man-made materials. By adopting a routine care and maintenance plan and following the listed care tips for PROTECTED leathers, you will help keep the leather clean and the surface protected, helping the leather meet your expectations.

Leather Type – PROTECTED, also referred to as FINISHED, PIGMENTED, EVERYDAY, SEMI ANILINE & ANILINE PLUS Leathers

Characteristics

Regular use of Leather Master Protection & Cleaning Products will greatly extend the leather’s usable life.

Care tips for PROTECTED type, also referred to as: Finished, Pigmented, Semi Aniline, Aniline Plus & Everyday Leathers

Try to maintain at least two feet between your furniture & heating sources. Prolonged exposure to heat vents or radiators will cause drying out of your leather.

Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight. All materials will fade over time when placed in direct sunlight. PROTECTED leathers are more resistant to sunlight, but take proper precautions.

Like all items in your house, Leather can accumulate dust. Lightly dampen a soft cloth with the Leather Master Soft Cleaner and dust weekly. You may also use the soft brush attachment on your vacuum. You may fully remove dust particles from PROTECTED leather’s surface, making them ideal for dust sensitive persons.

All leathers perform better when preventative maintenance is practiced. Apply Leather Master Protection Cream to the surface of the leather to help resist staining and prevent overall soiling. Regular use of the Protection Cream will greatly improve the cleanability of PROTECTED leathers and assist in resisting ground in stains like blue jeans and newspaper print.

Fully clean your furniture with Leather Master Soft Cleaner at least every six months to remove dirt as well as the gradual accumulation of body oils. Pour the Soft Cleaner into a soft sponge and squeeze to produce foam. Scrub the leather with the sponge and the foam, then wipe the surface with a clean cloth to remove soiling. After cleaning, apply the Protection Cream to the leather to renew the protection level. For ballpoint ink marks, use Leather Master Ink Lifter.
