Sewage Restoration

Sewage is classed as black water category 3.  With sewage there are standards to follow when carrying out the removal.  We follow the S500 standard by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification).

• Carpet and underlay and soft furnishings need to be replaced.
• Hard surfaces need to be disinfected.
• Antimicrobial treatment to reduce and eliminate contaminants.
• Extraction of excess materials and liquids.
• Gum boots, respirators, gloves and tyvac suits need to be worn.
• The hydroxyl machine can be used to break down odours.
• HEPA filters air scrubbers can be used to filter the air.
• Hot soapy wash down of all areas.
• Drying equipment can be installed.
• Demolition can be performed eg. gyprock cut out
